FSF: Tattered

My heart beats once, then twice, but then I forget to listen for even that little sound. My eyes listlessly explore the state of the room in front of me, seeing and not seeing the crumpled paper, the bleeding colors, the false beginnings. The silence is so overwhelming but I can't look down. I can't bear to see it - I'm afraid it is just another broken idea attempted with strokes of shaking fingers. I'm afraid that this painting too, will be in shreds, just like my heart.

Yeeepp. Never saw that one coming. That's what I get for drinking chocolate milk at 10pm on a Tuesday night...

Does this sound fun?! (of course it does, don't lie.) Please join in the madness at Lillie McFerrin's awesome blog. :)
