Six Sentence Sunday

I keep meaning to do one of these. It feels so weird. But here we go. :)

This snippet is from one of my WIP, the prequel to my last NaNoWriMo novel. It's a fantasy story about a little boy born with strange Gifts, who is given the position of guardian to the Princess and their unfolding lives amongst the turmoil of a corrupt kingdom. Erm. Yeah. I just summarized in one sentence. Be impressed. O.o

Oh and it's called 'Little Shadow-Bringer'. :)

6SS:
Perseus ran through the alley, peeking behind crates and whimpering for his mother. He had eaten a lovely breakfast but now he could not find his mother. She had still been asleep when he had left her.
Woke up? His little brain was thinking hard, looking for something to place as a landmark. He found the dead torches but there were no ugly people lying around them.

Feedback is much appreciated. :)
